FAQ

How do I submit cards for points?

In order for your mission cards to be counted as complete, you need to submit evidence. This is handled through our online form (link needed). More often than not, simples images or videos should suffice, but some cards will give specific instructions. If uploading large files, first upload them to your Pepperdine Google Drive, (making sure they are shared with “anyone with the link”) then post the share link in the online form.

Can I work with other people?

YES, in fact we encourage it. Working with other people will increase your chances for success.

How do I get cards?

Aside from your starter pack, additional cards will be available in different ways:

Trading: You can trade and barter cards with other players at any time.

Weekly Challenges: Different challenges will be hosted once a week. Simply showing up to a challenge will get you a small number of cards. Competing and winning will earn you much more.

Puzzles: Keep your eyes peeled for our symbol on campus. They may occasionally point to small puzzles that can lead to unique or rare cards.

How can I tell who my target is if I am an Assassin?

Ah, that’s the challenge, isn’t it? Since you can only assassinate other players of the game, you’ll need to keep track of who is playing. Trading information is just as important as trading cards in this game. Build your intelligence network and maintain contact with other players. You’ll never know when it’ll come in handy.

Can I assassinate someone when I don’t have an assassin card?

For an assassination to count, a player must submit verifiable evidence. In addition to documenting your assassination target with a visible clothespin attached, you must also include evidence of your card. If the card is invalid (or doesn’t exist) the kill is invalid, and the player keeps on living. Don’t go rogue – stick with your mission cards. If you need to satisfy your bloodlust, then trade with other players for the card you want, or do some weekly challenges.

What happens when I die?

Philosophical questions aside, when you are assassinated, you will receive a message informing you of your untimely death. Your points for the week will be frozen at their current level, but anything additional you earn will begin rolling over into the following week.

What if I get killed 2 weeks in a row?

Unfortunately, points will not roll over for more than 1 week. If you get killed once, consider it a warning. Getting killed two weeks in a row will put you on ice until the beginning of the following week. Get back in there and get revenge.

Are there teams? Or am I playing by myself?

That remains up to you. It’s unlikely that a player will be as successful working entirely alone, but there is room to play how you want to play. We encourage our agents to form alliances, teams, and contacts so that they can extend the reach of their network.

What are the weekly challenges?

The challenges will vary from week to week and will typically take place on the weekend. In general, they’ll be self-contained events open to all agents. Simply showing up may net you a few new mission cards. Winning will bring you a greater number of rare cards. Some events will be team based and others will be individual – we’ll be testing our agents in a broad array of skills. Stay tuned each week for details.

What happens if I’m assassinated? Does that end the game?

No. Death is only temporary. If you are the target of a successful assassination, you’ll receive a message informing you of your untimely death. The points you have earned for the week will be frozen for the current week, but – importantly – any additional points you earn in the week will be rolled over into next week. A motivated agent can use their own death to their advantage for accruing a head start for the following week.

You also have a small chance at redemption – if you are able to respond to the text with the alias of the player that killed you, you’ll receive XX points. If you are able to list their real-life name, you’ll receive XXX points. If you can give both, you receive XXXX points. Do a little digging, ask around, and see if you can solve your own murder.

How do I do explorer cards if I don’t have a car?

Make allies. Agents need to know how to adapt to their challenges and form alliances to conquer trials that they cannot do alone,

How do I submit videos that are larger than the file size on the Google form?

Upload it on a google drive and attach a shareable link in the form, making sure to share it with us. [Tutorial link]

How much is going to be kept anonymous?

That remains largely up to you. If you prioritize your anonymity, you’ll probably be able to slip by unnoticed. However certain events (or rival agents) may conspire to chip away at your hidden identity. Remember,

Where can I view the leaderboard?

The leaderboard will be updated every [how frequent??]. Check the website here [link needed] to see the most recent post.

How can I check my individual points?

Can I invite my friends?

Absolutely. We’re always looking to recruit new agents.

Do I have to complete whatever cards I have before I can get new ones?

No. You can complete challenges and solve puzzles to earn as many mission cards as you can without any responsibility to complete them.

Can I trade cards with other players?

Yes, we encourage our agents to play to their strengths. If you want more cards of a certain type, or just different cards in general, see if another player will trade. They may even be willing to trade in exchange for help on a future mission, or specific intelligence you may know that they don’t.

Can I reuse cards?

You can’t cash in the same card more than once a week – each mission is active only once a week. However, you can replay them in the following weeks. If you want more variety, you can always trade cards or complete weekly challenges.

Can I submit multiple cards a week?

Absolutely. Star agents don’t just do one mission per week!
